Squad announced to face Sevilla
The international break over, it’ll be business as usual at FC Barcelona on Saturday as they take on top-of-the-table Sevilla at the Camp Nou (8.45pm CET).
Ernesto Valverde has named his squad, and it reads as follows: Ter Stegen, Semedo, Piqué, Rakitic, Sergio Busquets, Coutinho, Arthur, Luis Suárez, Messi, Dembélé, Rafinha, Cillessen, Lenglet, Jordi Alba, Munir, Sergi Roberto, Vidal and Chumi.
The latter, full name Juan Brandariz Movilla, is a left-footed 19-year-old who was promoted from the UEFA Youth League winning U19 team to Barça B at the start of this season. With regular centre backs Samuel Umtiti and Thomas Vermaelen both out through injury, this is his first ever call-up to the first team, and he’ll be wearing the number 36 shirt for the occasion.
The youngster was involved in today’s training session at the Ciutat Esportiva, where a sunny afternoon gave way to rain as darkness started to fall.
Also present were Luis Suárez and Sergio Roberto, who both missed out playing for their countries this week for fitness reasons, but are now back and raring to go at the Camp Nou tomorrow night.
Denis Suárez, Malcom, Sergi Samper and Carles Aleñá are the four players that miss on the chance to help the blaugrana regain top spot in the table.
