PSV maintain 100 per cent record with 7-0 win

Three days before they come to the Camp Nou, Mark Van Bommel's side continue their fine form with a huge win over Den Haag. But it's not such a happy Saturday for Tottenham or Inter

Three days before they are Barça’s first Champions League opposition of the season (TICKETS HEREPSV Eindhoven have continued their rampant form in the Dutch Eredivisie with a 7-0 trouncing of ADO Den Haag.

There were braces for and Mexican Hirving Lozano and Uruguayan Gaston Pereiro, the latter’s both from the penalty spot, with Luuk de Jong, Erick Gutierrez and Steven Bergwijn getting the others.

This win follows on from a similar rout, 6-1, of Willem II and makes for a perfect start to a campaign in which PSV are looking to win a fourth Dutch league title in five years.

Setbacks for Spurs and Inter

It wasn’t such a cheerful Saturday for Barça’s other Champions League opponents though. Both Tottenham Hotspur and Inter Milan crashed at home in their domestic championships.

After winning their first three Premiership fixtures, Spurs have now lost two on the trot, following defeat at Watford by crashing 2-1 at home to Liverpool on Saturday, a result that sees them drop to sixth in the table. Last year’s European finalists dominated the proceedings from start to finish, with Georginio Wijnaldum and Roberto Firmino scoring the goals. Erik Lamela’s last minutes strike for the home side serving for little more than consolation.

And Inter Milan have just one win from their four outings in Serie A. Federico Dimarco’s 79th minute goal for Parma finished off the nerazzurri at the Giuseppe Meazza today, and that currently puts them seventh in the table.
