Messi offers up the Super Cup to the Camp Nou
The new captain shows off the trophy won in Tangier to the fans before the game against Alavés
Lionel Messi presented the Spanish Super Cup to the supporters at the Camp Nou on Saturday, before the game against Alavés. The title was won after beating Sevilla (1-2) in Tangier, and is the first piece of silverware this season.
It was the 13th victory in the competition for the Blaugrana, meaning they are the team that has won it on most occasions and, in addition, the title was No.33 for Messi, making him the most successful player in the history of Barça, overtaking another legend, Andrés Iniesta.
