FC Barcelona in Glasgow
FC Barcelona are now in Glasgow ahead of Wednesday’s Champions League clash away to Celtic, where they’ll be looking to secure passage to the last sixteen of the competition.
The two sides faced off at Camp Nou in Champions League Matchday 1 back on 13 September, when Barça beat their Scottish guests, 7–0. (Highlights, Match Report)
Tuesday's flight left Barcelona–El Prat airport at 11.00am CET and touched down on Scottish soil at around 1.30pm CET.
The twenty players announced in the travelling party by Luis Enrique, including Leo Messi back from illness, Luis Suárez back from suspension and Brazilian central defender Marlon Santos of Barça B,are also being joined on the flight by vice-president Manel Arroyo, directors Silvio Elías and Pau Vilanova and technical secretary Robert Fernández.
After arriving in Glasgow, the party moved directly to the Radisson Blu Hotel for some rest. Later on this evening, they’ll be training on the Celtic Park pitch and Luis Enrique and Rafinha will be speaking at an official media conference.
