Barça arrives in San José and works out in the afternoon
SAN JOSÉ, California — FC Barcelona did it all on Wednesday. The players woke up first thing in the morning, bussed to Dallas–Fort Worth International Airport, and by midday the team was settled in its hotel in San Jose, California, where the team will be staying until Saturday night's third and final match of the preseason against AC Milan at Levi’s Stadium in nearby Santa Clara.
Less than 24 hours after facing AS Roma at AT&T Stadium in Arlington Texas, the team was back out on the training field, this time at Avaya Stadium, the home of the San Jose Earthquakes, for an afternoon session, which saw the sun go down slowly, along with the temperatures.
All available first team players took part in the early evening workout, with only Rafinha training individually on the side. As the Barça players went through training drills on the field, arriving and departing aircraft were roaring across the street at San José Airport.
Institutional welcome
The Club's traveling expedition was greeted on the tarmac by Lisa Gilmore, the Mayor of Santa Clara, where Barça plays Milan on Saturday night. The team is also set to train at Levi’s Stadium there on Friday evening, which will be the team's final training session of the 2018 summer tour in the United States.
