FC Barcelona U19 v Borussia Dortmund: Dazzling display (4-1)
FC Barcelona U19 are through to the quarter-finals of the UEFA Youth League after an impressive 4-1 win over Borussia Dortmund, including a stunning solo goal from Jordi Mboula.
In the way the game started, it certainly did not appear that Barça would enjoy such a convincing rout of their counterparts, as they were down a goal after just six minutes.
A weak clearance from the back allowed Wanner to capitalise and Gabri’s side had a job on their hands.
Barça soon got their foot on the ball and began to make things happen. Just before the break came the reward as Pérez’s fired the Catalans level.
Abel Ruiz, who played a key part in the equaliser then put Barça 2-1 up early in the second half, picking up the pieces from Busquets’ header which had hit the crossbar.
Barça were not done there however, as Lee soon made it 3-1, benefitting from some direct wing play from Jordi Mboula.
The already superb performance was then capped off in the most sensational fashion. Mboula saved the best until last as he picked the ball from the halfway line before dribbling everybody in sight and then finishing across the keeper for 4-1.
