League Video Highlights: Deportivo de la Coruña 2-1 FC Barcelona

The pick of the action from a disappointing trip to Galicia, with Luis Suárez's goal immediately after the break not enough to prevent Barça from coming home empty handed

A wonderful week at FC Barcelona came to a sad end at Riazor on Sunday afternoon, with Barça falling to 2-1 defeat, thus bringing an end to a 19 match run without defeat for the Catalans in the competition.

Joselu had given Deportivo the lead at half-time, but Luis Suárez levelled straight after the interval. The adage goes that Barça never lose when the Uruguayan scores, but that record was destined to come to an end on a rainy afternoon in Galicia as well.

Álex Bergantiños’ header after 74 minutes secured a win for Depor, thus maintaining their unbeaten record under Pepe Mel and putting important distance between themselves and the relegation zone.

For Barça, it’s a result that complicates the Liga title bid, but there’s still plenty to be decided in the championship race.
