Final sprint for LaLiga title with four teams in the mix
We are into the LaLiga run-in. After 28 fixtures FC Barcelona are in second place on 63 points, two points behind the league leaders. Therefore, in Barça’s last ten league fixtures they will play half of them at the Camp Nou and the other half away from home. The blaugranas still have two games against direct rivals Sevilla and Real Madrid. The Clásico at the Bernabéu is on 23 April and will be a decisive in the league title race as Luis Enrique’s chance will have the chance to overtake Real Madrid if all goes well in the build-up to the game in Madrid.
Even though Real Madrid are top on 65 points, they still have a game in hand with eleven fixtures still to come. Zidane’s team still have to travel to Balaídos to face Celta but the date hasn’t been confirmed yet. Of the eleven games three are against direct rivals at the Bernabéu: first against Atlético, then Barça and finally Sampaoli’s Sevilla.
The Andalucian side are eight points behind the league leaders but they have the advantage of six games at the Sánchez-Pizjuán and only four away. Sevilla will try take advantage of this to try and close the gap on the top two. They still have to face FC Barcelona and Real Madrid.
Finally, Atlético are ten points off the top with 55 they only have to play Real Madrid from the top four. They have five games at home and five away and they are looking to secure an unlikely league title to say goodbye to the Vicente Calderón in style.
In sum, the final ten games in LaLiga will be fascinating to watch and will put all four teams to the test. Whoever is the most consistent will have the best chance of securing the league title.
