Medical news: Rafinha suffers injury to right meniscus
The first tests on FC Barcelona midfielder Rafinha, who left Sunday’s game against Granada in the 17th minute, have revealed an injury to his right meniscus.
The full extent of the injury is unknown, pending further examination.
With the game still scoreless, Rafinha was replaced by Paco Alcácer. Barça went on to win, 4–1, with Alcácer scoring the second goal (Highlights, Match Report).
Rafinha was making his 28th appearance of the season across all competitions. He has played 18 games in La Liga, four in the Copa del Rey, and six in the UEFA Champions League.
Rafinha has seven goals on the season — six in La Liga — the best mark in his career. One of them gave Barça a 1–0 over Granada at Camp Nou (Highlights, Match Report) in their first league clash earlier this season.
