The Barça Legends manager, José Mari Bakero, has encouraged the fans to come to the Camp Nou on 30 June. They will have the chance to see “players from different generations who have had the opportunity to play for FC Barcelona” take on the Manchester United Legends.
He also spoke about “the fantastic cause” for the charity match against a rival we need to respect as they are the most important English team in history. He added his team have an obligation to win as “they are players who played for Barça during the best years of its history.”
Ahead of the match, Bakero also commented on “the spectacular physical condition of the players” including Belletti and Nadal. The ex-Barça left-back spoke about what it means to come back to Barcelona and remembered his time at the Club: “My best Barça moment was the Paris final, but I also remember the ovation I got at the Camp Nou when I returned with Chelsea.” Belletti also discussed the Club’s values and how “they go much further than football.”
Nadal recalled “the day I signed for the Club and the leagues won in the final minutes” and added that he feels fit and ready to take part in a match the people will enjoy.
