CA Osasuna - FC Barcelona B: A valuable point at the league leaders (2-2)

The Blaugrana made hard work of the visit to El Sadar, one of the most difficult grounds in the league. Concha and Aleñá were the scorers in a great first half for Gerard López and his team.

Osasuna and Barça B drew 2-2 in a fast-paced game that could’ve gone either way until the last minute. The visitors took the lead in the first half thanks to goals from Concha and Aleñá, but the hosts grabbed a share of the spoils after Quique and Fran Mérida drew them level. Even so, it’s a very valuable point for the team coached by Gerard López, coming as it did against the current leader of the Second Division.

Thrilling start

A spectacular atmosphere greeted both sides but the home support were stunned when David Concha put the blaugrana in front on 23.

With Barça B dominating the game completely, good combination play between Aleñá and Arnáiz saw the former beat Sergio Herrera to score the second. The reaction was immediate with Quique halving the deficit before half-time.

Osasuna were fired up at the beginning of the second half, and Fran Mérida restored parity within two minutes. It was to be his last contribution of note after he was shown a second yellow when trying to cut out a Barça counterattack. Aleñá continued breaking between the lines and Vitinho tried his luck from distance as the Barça players went in search of a victory that never came.
