Cultural Leonesa – FC Barcelona B: Bittersweet point (1-1)
Barça B drew this Sunday against Cultural Leonesa in a match where the visitors showcased their attacking potential. Though Gerard Lopez’s young side had chances to make the game safe after Lozano’s opener (min 7), they were unable to make their superiority count and Rodri’s equaliser on 55 completed the scoring.
All out offensive at first
The first half totally belonged to Barça and just seven minutes in some good work between Aleñá and Arnaiz carved out the chance for Choco Lozano, who made no mistake.
Not long afterwards, Lozano looked to double the lead but his shot narrowly deflected off of goalkeeper Jesus. As the game progressed, Arnaiz, Aleñá, Vitinho and Lozano put on an exhibition, which should’ve seen at least two or three more goals.
They were left to rue their luck after the break as the hosts came more into the match. So much so that after a good move down the left side, Rodri drew Cultural level (min 55). Both sides went for the win with Zulverloon’s shot back off of the post being the closest either came to scoring again.
The result is Barça B’s fourth consecutive draw, and they play again next Saturday against Huesca (kick-off 7.00pm CET).
