Seguer was the caretaker coach until the arrival of Vic Buckingham in the second game of the second half of the season in January 1970. From that point, he became the English coach's assistant after a record of 4 wins, 2 draws and 5 defeats in the games in which he was in charge in the 1969/70 season.
In 1970 he became the Barça Atlètic coach (the Club's B team), a merger between Comtal and Atlètic Catalunya. He spent the 1970/71 and 1971/72 seasons in the job.
