Barça handball team to meet OTP Bank-Pick Szeged in the Champions League quarter finals
The Barça handball team have been draw against OTP Bank - Pick Szeged in the quarter finals of the Machineseeker EHF Champions League. The Hungarians knocked out PSG in the previous round, overcoming a 10 goal deficit in the second leg.
As winners of Group B, Barça passed directly to the quarter finals and will have home advantage in the second leg. The first game will be played on 23/24 April in Szeged with the return leg at the Palau Blaugrana on 30 April or 1 May. The EHF will announce the precise dates of the matches shortly.
The two teams have already met this season in the group stage of the competition. Barça won 31-30 in the Palau and then played out a 29-29 draw in Hungary. Pick Szeged finished fifth in Group B and knocked out fourth placed team from Group A PSG 65-56 on aggregate in the last 16.
