Barça Women to face Real Madrid in Copa de la Reina semi-finals

Real Madrid are to be Barça Women's opponents in the semi-finals of the Copa de la Reina. The tie will be played over two legs with the first to come in Valdebebas on 6 March (7.00pm) and the second on 12 March at the Estadi Johan Cruyff (7.00pm). 

The team from Madrid are currently second in the Liga F on 49 points, five behind leaders Barça. Alberto Toril's side are having an excellent season and have also qualified for the quarter-finals of the Champions League. 

Players of the quality of Weir, Caicedo, Bruun and Athenea amongst others are capable of deciding games on their own. The most recent meeting between the two sides came in the Spanish Super Cup final, with Barça taking the trophy thanks to a comprehensive 4-0 win. 

The final of this season's Copa de la Reina will be played on 8 June at a venue yet to be decided.
