Best goalscoring start of year for FC Barcelona since 1943
No one can deny that Barça's start to 2025 has been a great one. The Spanish Super Cup title, a direct place in the last 16 of the Champions League, a spot in the Copa del Rey semi-finals and back into the hunt for the La Liga title are the results of the hard of Hansi Flick and his team since the turn of the year.
In just 11 matches in 2025, Barça have scored no less than 41 goals at an average of 3.7 per encounter. The figure comes into its own when we compare it with previous campaigns - Hansi Flick's have had the best goalscoring start to a calendar year in 82 years, since 1942 and a Barça side coached by Juan José Nogués.

In total in the season 2024/25 Barça have scored 113 goals in 36 matches in all competition. In La Liga Hansi Flick's team have scored 64 times in just 23 games, the best record since 2014/15 when a Barça side with Messi, Neymar and Luis Suárez scored a total of 122 times in all competitions.
Of those 113, 31 have been scored by Robert Lewandowski, 24 by Raphinha, 11 by Lamine Yamal and 10 by Ferran Torres.
Another thing to bear in mind is that with 113 goals in 36 games, Barça have already gone past last season's total of 110 in 53 games.
