Jules Kounde, fifth on all time list of appearances for FC Barcelona

There is no doubt that Jules Kounde is one of the fixtures in the FC Barcelona starting XI. The defender has made 36 appearances already under Hansi Flick and so is moving up the list of all time appearances for French players at Barça, now sitting in fifth place level with Ludovic Giuly. 

In the top 5 

At the end of January Kounde's appearance against Atalanta saw him equal Thierry Henry's total of 121 games and Sunday against his former side Sevilla, the defender equalled Ludovic Giuly's total of 124 matches. Kounde is now in the top five of French players with most appearances.   

Umtiti, next in line 

Ahead of Kounde lie defenders Samuel Umtiti on 134 and Clément Lenglet on 160, with the top two consisting of Ousmane Dembélé (185) and Éric Abidal (193). Still just 26 years old and with a contract until 2027, Kounde still has plenty of time ahead of him to keep moving up that illustrious list.
