Lewandowski and Raphinha both top 20 goals for the season
Robert Lewandowski and Raphinha, Raphinha and Robert Lewandowski. Whatever order you name them, they are still the highest goalscoring duo across the five major European leagues, and they are spearheading Barça's attack as 2025 begins.
Goals, goals, goals
Hansi Flick's side are in an excellent vein of form, which among other aspects has led to goals. The blaugranes have scored 16 goals in the four games since the start of the year, a figure that reflects the team's attacking prowess. This goal output is largely down to the forwards playing at the very highest level, led by two players in superb form, namely Robert Lewandowski and Raphinha.
20+20: the highest goalscoring duo in Europe
Barça may have a squad full of young talent, but the experience of Lewandowski and Raphinha really stands out. They have both reached notable individual records this season – they are the first attacking duo in Europe to each score at least 20 goals in all competitions. The Polish striker has 26 while the Brazilian forward has 20, testament to their great rapport and efficiency in front of goal.
Furthermore, they are now established as the highest goalscoring duo in the five major European leagues, and by some distance from other attacking duos. The blaugrana pair have scored 46 goals between them, well ahead of the second-placed Bayern Munich pair of Harry Kane (22) and Jamal Musiala (14) with 36 goals combined. The Liverpool duo of Mohamed Salah (21) and Luis Díaz (12) come next with a total of 33 goals.
The top 5 is rounded out by the 32 goals from Eintracht Frankfurt pair Omar Marmoush (20) and Hugo Ekitiké (12), and the Real Madrid duo Kylian Mbappé (15) and Vinícius Júnior (14) who have scored 29 goals.
In-form Barça
This impressive goal output shows that Hansi Flick's Barça side stand out for both their collective efforts and individual brilliance. The blaugranes are showing that they can combine defensive solidity with decisiveness in attack.
