Barça 105-79 Morabanc Andorra: Winning end to the week
Barça have ended a busy week with a win at the Palau Blaugrana. After losing to Zaragoza in the league, then beating Fenerbahce and losing to Virtus in Europe, they eventually won a tricky game with Morabanc Andorra by a sizeable margin.
The Andorrans led by 11 at one stage and stayed in contention until the third period, but then Barça raised their game and stepped all over the opposition's errors to march on for a comfortable wins. Satoransky (20) and Joel Parra (16) led the scoring.
Ferran Bassas and Kuric led Andorra's early domination, and Barça really needed to improve in defence, which thankfully they did. An 11-0 streak including 7 from Satoransky was the swing that got the game back level at 33-33, and a Punter three then set Barça on course to lead 47-41 at the interval.
Andorra got their form back after the restart, and things were tight until a 13-0 sent the home side into what was starting to look like a definitive lead. Excellent concentration and fluidity in attack meant they did indeed hold on, eventually winning by a clear 26-point difference.
A great win today but 2024 is far from over. Red Star are coming to the Palau Blaugrana in the EuroLeague and next Sunday brings a big trip to the WiZink Center to face Real Madrid in the ACB.
