Marcus Sorg: 'Defeats like today are tough to take'
After the defeat against Leganés, Barça assistant coach Marcus Sorg appeared before the press with Hansi Flick serving the first of a two game ban following his dismissal in the game against Betis.
The assistant coach explained that "the team did not start the game focused and that led to the goal." Sorg admitted his team did their best to try and comeback but recently "the team have found it difficult in the league and despite having chances we failed to take the win." The German said "defeats like today are hard to take but it's all part of the process and we have to work hard so things turn out as we want them."
According the Sorg "confidence is still intact". "The team are still ready to go for everything in the next game," said the coach ahead of next Saturday's clash with Atlético Madrid, a game that will bring 2024 to an end for the blaugranes and bring "much needed time off to recover mentally and physically."
