Ferran Torres sets new record
The star of the 3-2 show against Borussia Dortmund was Ferran Torres. The Valencian striker came on in the 70th minute as a replacement for Robert Lewandowski and scored twice, setting a new club record in the process.
Fastest brace for a substitute
It was only the fourth time that a Barça substitute had scored twice in a Champions League game:
Leo Messi (2008) v Shakhtar Donetsk (30 mins)
Cristian Tello (2012) v Bayer 04 Leverkusen (37 mins)
Ivan Rakitic (2015) v BATE Borissov (70 mins)
But on Wednesday, Torres had only been on the field for 19 minutes when he converted Lamine Yamal's assist to score for the second time of the night and in doing so seal the 3-2 win.
The shark is back
It was the tenth brace of Ferran Torres' professional career. Four of those were achieved while wearing the jersey of the Spanish national team, two in his time at Manchester City and four at Barça (two in La Liga and two in the UCL)
The 'shark' missed several games of this season through injury, but he's back with a bite, having netted against Betis, Mallorca and Dortmund. His ability to not just score goals, but also score goals that matter in difficult situations, will not have gone unnoticed by Hansi Flick.
