The Brazilian now has 16 goals and 8 assists for the season, breaking his own record in just four months

Raphinha is a key member of Hansi Flick's Barça side, a captain and a goalscorer as he showed with two more strikes in the 5-1 away win at Mallorca. The Brazilian has now set a personal best in terms of goals and assists for a single season with 16 goals and eight assists in all competitions. 

Precedents

Raphinha began his career in Europe at Portuguese club Vitória Guimarães and in 85 matches he recorded a total of 22 goals and 13 assists, his best season coming in 2017/18 with 15 goals and 5 assists. A move to Rennes in France brought 8 goals and 6 assists in two seasons and a subsequent move to the Premier League with Leeds United saw him amass a total of 17 goals and 12 assists over two seasons.

Figures from first two seasons 

Raphinha came to Barça in in the summer of 2022 and in his first campaign he scored a total of 7 goals in the league, 2 in the Copa del Rey and 1 in the Europa League. The Brazilian also provided 12 assists (7 in the league, 2 in the Copa del Rey, 1 in the Europa League and 2 in the Champions League), taking part in 22 goals. 

The figures were virtually repeated the following season in 2023/24 with 6 goals in the league, 3 in the Champions League and 1 in the Copa del Rey. In terms of assists, there were 13 shared out between 9 in the league and 4 in the Champions League, setting a best total of 23 participations in goals. 

This season, in just four months and 21 games, Raphinha has directly taken part in 24 goals; scoring 16 himself and providing 8 assists, setting a personal record with still well over half the season still to come.

European top 5 

The Brazilian is in the top 5 for goals plus assists in Europe's major domestic league. Only Omar Marmoush of Eintract Frankfurt with 28 and Bayern Munich's Harry Kane on 27 are ahead of him. Level with the Brazilian on 24 are Mo Salah of Liverpool and his team mate Robert Lewandowski.
