First game of the 125th anniversary is Barça v UD Las Palmas on Saturday

On Saturday 30 November at 2pm CET the Estadi Olímpic Lluís Companys will be the venue for week 15 in La Liga which sees Barça take on UD Las Palmas, a game in which the fans will be able to celebrate the 125th anniversary of FC Barcelona. 

The match will take place just the day after the anniversary date, 29 November, and will begin a series of games which will celebrate the date in the months of November and December. 

After arriving at the stadium, and the fans will have flags and plenty more surprises relating to the 125th anniversary, especially those who are the first to arrive. A great party that will begin when the doors open with music and game for the 125th anniversary in the stands and on the video scoreboard there will be compilations of historical content such as songs, badges, photographs and more; furthermore, there will be 125th anniversary jerseys. 

Presentation of the winning anthem for the 125th anniversary

One of the most awaited moments before the game will be the presentation of the winning song for the 125th anniversary. The previous evening at the gala celebration for the date at the Gran Teatre Liceu, the winning anthem will be announced from the three finalists, ‘L’escut al pit’, ‘Un sentiment’ and ‘Del bressol a l’infinit’. At the game on Saturday the fans will be able to hear the anthem live. 

Aside from the winning anthem there will be plenty more surprises related to the anniversary at the Estadi Olímpic. 

The 125th anniversary matches

For the 125th anniversary, FC Barcelona would like to celebrate the date with the fans who have supported the team over the years and continue to do so at the Estadi Olímpic Lluís Companys, (and Spotify Camp Nou), the Palau Blaugrana and the Estadi Johan Cruyff. It is for that reason that the Club will celebrate the anniversary at various matches of the Club's professional sports and the with the objective of dedicating it to the fans and allow then to take part first hand. 

The FC Barcelona 125th anniversary 

During the 2024/25 season a series of events has been taking place beginning in October with the presentation of the commemorative poster for the 125th anniversary, a work by artist Miquel Barceló, and inspired by the 'We want the ball' manifesto. 

These initiatives make the 125th anniversary of Club a global celebration of Barça and the passion it stirs, which will culminate in the Gala at the Gran Teatre del Liceu on 29 November, the date that is to celebrated by FC Barcelona, remembering the 12 pioneers meeting at the Gimnàs Solé who founded an institution that now generated such passion for millions of people around the world.
