Lamine Yamal joins part of Wednesday training session

After sitting out three games, the youngster should soon be fit to return to active duty under Hansi Flick

The morning after defeating Brest in the Champions League, the Barça squad went straight back onto the training pitch at the Ciutat Esportiva to start thinking about the next challenge, Las Palmas at the weekend.

Lamine getting closer

Lamine Yamal missed the game against the side from Brittany, and that's three in total that he has now had to sit out through injury. But the teenager is well on the mend and this Wednesday was able to join his team-mates for part of the workout, just as Hansi Flick had hinted in his recent press conference.

Araujo also gaining ground

It remains to be seen whether the coach will be including Lamine in his squad this weekend, while Ronald Araujo should also hopefully be ready to start playing again very, very soon. The Uruguayan defender has been training on the field since Sunday, and did part of the group session this morning. He is clearly almost fully recovered from a much longer-term injury that means he has yet to feature in the 2024-25 season.
