Bayern Munich 100-78 Barça: Defeat in a tough away test

The blaugranes chase the game from the start and go down to their fourth defeat of the season in the Euroleague

Defeat in Munich for the Barça basketball team against the Bavarians who remain undefeated at home this season in the Euroleague. Joan Peñarroya's team suffered a 100-78 reverse thanks in the main part to Andreas Obast's excellent three point shooting for Bayern.

Germans take control

A frenetic start to the encounter in the SAP Garden saw the teams exchange baskets with Punter, Parker and Vesely standing out for Barça. However, the home side matched the blaugranes and more to take a 28-21 lead into the second quarter.

Bayern maintained the tempo in the second period taking a 12 point lead at 44-32 before the blaugranes cut it back to 10 at half time at 48-38.

Parker leads from the front

Barça's Jabari Parker tried to revive his side, ending the game with 24 points, but Bayern's scoring with Andreas Obst unstoppable from the three point perimeter was too much for the visitors. The home side led 77-58 with the fourth quarter to come. Into the final period and the Germans had a 26 point lead only for Barça to fight back and cut the difference to go down 100-78. The blaugranes are next in action on Thursday 28 November in the Euroleague against none other than Real Madrid.
