UEFA YOUTH LEAGUE: Crvena Zvezda 1-2 FC Barcelona
Juliano Belletti's side have emerged victorious from their UEFA Youth League date at the Rajko Mitic Youth Stadium, but they had come back from behind after Kostov had put the home side ahead from the penalty spot. But two goals in three minutes were enough to turn things around and make it 9 points out of a possible 12.
Early setback
It was just before the quarter hour mark that Landry Farré gave away the penalty, very much against the run of play, as it was the first time in the entire first half that Red Star has put Yaakobishvili under any serious threat.
Hugo Alba and Jan Virgili both had chances to make amends, but the Serbians held out for the remainder of the first half.
Second half comeback
Barça thoroughly deserved anything but to be trailing, and justice was finally served from the boots of Hugo Alba with a lovely turn and shoot on 51 minutes. And moments later, the Catalans were in front when Arnau Pradas struck the sweetest of strikes from outside the area.
Both sides pushed hard in a dramatic final minutes, but neither net was touched and Barça are now very nicely poised in the Youth League table.
