Kevin Punter named Euroleague MVP for October

The blaugrana guard scored an average of 18.6 points with a valuation of 19.9 in the seven games played

The first MVP of the 2024/25 Euroleague is none other than blaugrana Kevin Punter. On Monday the Barça guard was named player of the month for October after an excellent start to the competition under new coach Joan Peñarroya.

The US born player is a match winner and in the seven Euroleague games played in October, he has recorded some spectacular stats. In 24 minutes on court per game he has scored an average of 18.6 points, 2.4 assists, 1.4 steals with an overall valuation of 19.9 - not forgetting to mention his three point shooting at 47.2%, 17 of 36.

With the exception of the first game against Zalgiris Kaunas, in all the others Punter has gained an overall valuation of above 15 points. His best game came on his return to Belgrade where he had a spell at Partizan. In the game against Crvena Zvezda he scored vital three pointers in overtime to take the win with 26 points and a valuation of 30.

Barça are currently in third place in the Euroleague with five wins and two defeats so far. November is set to be a demanding month in the Euroleague with a home game against Baskonia (Fri. 8 Nov.), a return trip to Belgrade to take on Partizan (Wed. 13 Nov.), another home game against Paris Basketball (Fri.15 Nov.), an away game at Bayern Munich (Fri. 22 Nov.) and the Clásico at home against Real Madrid on Thursday 28 November, the day before the celebrations for the Club's 125th anniversary.

The last time a Barça player won the award was back in December 2021, when Nikola Mitrotić was named MVP of the month.
