Barça 106-80 Leyma Coruña: Back to winning ways

The blaugranes win again after a difficult start

Week-ending win. Barça have defeated Leyma Coruña 106-80 after a difficult start to the game. Parker was effective with triples and Satoransky non-stop, as the blaugranes turned the match around to claim victory after the loss last time out in Europe.

Trend reversed

The Galicians began well in the game at the Palau and even had a +10 lead by 9 minutes (16-26). Satoransky showed most to counteract their advantage, but the lack of scoring threat from the blaugranes was taking its toll.

Eventually the home side got it back to 31-31 (min 13) after a 10-0 spell. Finally Parker broke the deadlock with a triple to make it 38-35 (min 17). Opposite trends from that point onwards with the blaugranes going +6 by the end of the second, cemented by another three-pointer by Parker. Half-time score 48-42.

Blaugranes in control

Another triple from Parker set FC Barcelona on the way in the second half (55-42, min 22), with Satoransky playing an important role. Barça had clearly stepped it up, and Leyma Coruña were finding it hard to stop the attack and break through the blaugranes' defence. Barça then went +18 through another Jabari Parker triple, 62-44 (min 24), and Willy and Anderson helped their side to a 76-60 lead at the end of the third.

FC Barcelona were in full control of their destiny, and the visitors couldn't do anything to reduce the points deficit, which Metu extended to +25 via a three-pointer and a dunk. Final score 106-80 and Barça win again in the Liga.
