Deportivo Liceo 1-4 Barça: Another Clásico goes blaugrana
Fourth OK Liga match and fourth win for the Barça roller hockey team. David Cáceres' side earned the three points from their visit to the Pazo dos Deportes de Riazor after overcoming Liceo (1-4), with a hat-trick for Ferran Font and a goal for Ignacio Alabart.
This Clásico and second against the Galician side this season after the 5-2 win in the Super Cup semi-finals, needed a comeback after the blaugranes went in 1-0 down at the break. The game also saw Xavi Barroso return after two months out with injury.
Liceo lead first
Barça came out very lively, creating many chances, but not putting them away, with Martí Serra thwarting the Catalans' attacks. However, if you don't seize the moment, things can always change, and a long shot by Carballeira put Liceo ahead (1-0, min 5). The visitor's continue applying pressure and attacking to try and grab the equalising goal. However, the Galicians' defence was solid, and no further goals were scored in the first half.
Ferran Font front and centre
Ferran Font stepped up after the break, scoring two goals in 30 seconds to push the blaugranes into the lead, first with a great shot (1-1, min 29) and second with a finish close to the post (1-2, min 30). Barça didn't take long to press home their advantage either, Ignacio Alabart with some great individual play to finish in the top corner (1-3, min 33).
The result was confirmed when Ferran Font finished a counterattack for his third (1-4, min 45) and consequently the blaugranes return to Barcelona with their winning run intact and in a solid first place in the OK Liga.
