Barça 49-33 Impulse Guadalajara: No let up from the blaugranes

Carlos Ortega's team take a win at the Palau to round off an excellent week

Another win in the league for Barça as they overcame Guadalajara 49-33 in the Palau Blaugrana on Saturday. Coach Carlos Ortega rested some key players for the ASOBAL clash but they were hardly missed in a game that the blaugranes dominated.

Debutant

In an excellent first half there was a debut for Miguel Ángel Martín as the U19 squad member showed no sign of nerves. The youngster would end up top scorer against Guadalajara with nine goals from 11 shots. At half time, Barça boasted a 24-17 lead, and in the second half, a period of eight goals to just one from the opposition secured a comfortable 49-33 victory at full time.

The blaugranes now go into the derby against Granollers on 3 November as league leaders, but before that they must face Nantes in the Champions League on 31 October.
