All set for the APAC Cup
The fourth Barça Academy APAC Cup is set to take place. The tournament features most of the Barça Academies in Asia and it enables young players from across the region to get together to play football. This year's edition will be held from 1 to 5 November in Nara, one of the six cities in Japan with a Barça Academy.
The first two editions took place in India in 2019 and 2020, before COVID-19 led to a two year hiatus before last season's tournament in Japan.
More teams featuring
The fourth edition of the APAC Cup will see 38 teams involved in the U10 and U12 categories, with a total of 108 games played over the five days of competition. The 400 players and coaches will play the games at Nara Deer, home to a team from the J3 league in Japan, Nara Club, ensuring the best possible conditions for everyone involved.
Joining the six Japanese academies (Nara, Katsushika, Hiroshima, Aichi, Fukuoka and Yokohama) will be the Barça Escola Barcelona, the Barça Academy Manila and the Barça Academy Jalal Abad. Academies from Australia, Italia and Taiwan will also be involved, and as a new development for this edition, Nara Club will also take part in this fourth edition of the APAC Cup.
Football and more
Making the most of the teams travelling to Nara, the APAC Cup organisers have arranged a visit to Kyoto, one of the most special cities in the country. Furthermore, given that Nara is well-known for its natural setting, both coaches and families at the event can enjoy a visit to Nara Park.
