Dani Olmo is back

Midfielder came on in the 76th minute of the game with Bayern, his hamstring injury now a thing of the past

Just over a month after he pulled his right hamstring against Girona on September 15, Dani Olmo made his return this Wednesday night in the spectacular 4-1 defeat of Bayern Munich at the Estadi OlĂmpic.

The Catalan was declared back to full fitness last Sunday, and was in the squad for the 5-1 roasting of Sevilla, but he didn't get to play that evening. That moment, instead, came in tonight's Champions League clash.

He had the honour of replacing hat-trick hero Raphinha, and the stadium rose to their feet not only to recognise the Brazilian for his amazing performance, but also to welcome back a player who had started the season so brilliantly before being struck by injury. There wasn't much time for Olmo to contribute to a game that was already well won by the time he entered the fray, but he still managed to slip in a few touches of class before the final whistle.
