YOUTH LEAGUE | FC Barcelona 3-1 Bayern Munich
A second win in the UEFA Youth League, this time from an utterly dominant display against Bayern Munich from start to finish to put the team tenth in the table after the first three games.
Following a couple of early chances, a lovely little move from Gistau ended up with him establishing the lead after just 11 minutes. And the Catalans never really had to look back from there on.
They dealt coolly with everything that Bayern tried to throw their way before some fine work from Gistau on the edge of the area was topped by a lovely strike to claim his second goal of the day.
Any danger of a Bayern fightback was laid to rest when Jan Virgili extended Barça's lead moments after half-time, the goal set up by a delicious cross from Arnau Pradas.
Chavez pounced on a Yaakobishvili clearance to nick one back for the German outfit, but that goal was merely anecdotal. Barça were destined to win this one and deservedly so.
