No let up from Lewandowski
There is no doubt that Robert Lewandowski is in top goalscoring form. The Barça striker now has 12 goals in La Liga in 10 matches, a strike rate that has only been equalled or better by the following players in league history in Spain: Waldo (Valencia, 1966), Quini (Sporting, 1979), Ronaldo (Barça, 1996), Salva (Racing de Santander, 1999), Eto’o (Barça, 2008), Cristiano Ronaldo (Real Madrid, 2014) and Messi (Barça, 2011, 2012 and 2017).
Lewandowski: 3rd top scorer of all time in Europe's top leagues
After scoring twice against Sevilla on Sunday at the Estadi Olímpic the Polish striker now has 73 goals for Barça, equalling the total of legendary goalscorer Enrique Castro 'Quini' from the 1980s. Furthermore, in terms of total goals in Europe's top five league competitions, Lewandowski now stands on 366 also counting his strikes for Bayern Munich and Borussia Dortmund, one more than German Gerd Müller and only behind frontrunners Cristiano Ronaldo on 495 and Leo Messi on 496.
In all competitions Lewandowski has 14 goals in 2024/25, one ahead of Bayern Munich's Harry Kane and three more than Manchester City's Norwegian striker Erling Haaland.
