Ponferradina 1-1 Barça Atlètic: Valuable point

Barça Atlètic have picked up a point away to a Ponferradina side that took an early lead that was neutralised by Unai, with some top saves late on from Astralaga ensuring the Catalans held on for a draw.

The reserves felt they were denied a clear penalty right at the start of the game, and salt was rubbed into the wound when Cortés scored after 10 minutes in the home side's first attack of the game.

Barça got their just reward when Álvaro Cortés was fouled during a corner and the ref awarded a penalty. Unai Hernández missed the spot kick, but headed in the rebound and the sides were level after 22 minutes. And it could have been two for Barça, but Guillermo managed to miss a sitter just moments before the break.

Barça were under siege for much of the second half, but the entrance of Mbacke, back after a half year of injury, tipped the balance back the blaugrana way.

The final minutes were real end-to-end stuff, with Iván Cédric having a fine chance saved before the Astralaga show began at the other end. Some fantast¡c saves from the Barça keeper kept the scores level at the end, and after Tarazona and Sestao, the team is now returning from Ponferrada undefeated as well.
