Spanish Super Cup dates announced

Barça will play in the second semi-final against Athletic Club on Thursday 9 January at 8pm CET

The Spanish Football Federation (RFEF) have announced the dates for the semi-finals and finals of the Spanish Super Cup which will be played in the King Abdullah stadium in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia

FC Barcelona will play in the second semi-final against Athetic Club de Bilbao on Thursday 9 January at 8pm CET (10pm local time). If they can get past the Basque club then they will be in action in the final on Sunday 12 January, also at 8pm CET (10pm local time). 

Barça qualified for the Spanish Super Cup after finishing runners-up in La Liga in 2023/24, earning the right to face last season's Copa del Rey winners Athletic Club. 

The other semi-final will see league champions Real Madrid taken on Copa del Rey runners-up Real Mallorca on Wednesday 8 January at 8pm CET (10pm local time).
