Major effort to include everyone in census

FC Barcelona began the process of updating its register of members in March 2023 and completed it more than a year later, in April 2024. During this period, the club sent a total of 43 direct messages to its members and twice extended the deadline. Furthermore, after 30 November 2023, the originally established deadline for the process, two additional formal and certified communications were sent, extending the registration period until 14 March 2024. Although the Statutes state that the club should terminate the membership of anyone who had not updated their information after that date, people could still do so until April 15. Ultimately, FC Barcelona spared no effort to ensure that not a single member was excluded. Nevertheless, 14,558 members did not update their information.

The update of the register of members is a requirement set out in Article 11.8 of the FC Barcelona Statutes in order for the club to identify and better understand its membership, as well as to improve security, communication, and services.
