Kazakhstan took the lead before the home side went 4-1 up by half-time, only for the visitors to threaten a comeback with two second half goals. Pablo Torre played started and played 71 minutes for Spain while Marc Casadó remained on the bench.

World Cup qualification
Chile v Brazil at 9pm local time (Friday 2am CEST) in Santiago

Brazil have only won three of their first eight qualifying matches, although the expanded format means they don't need to worry too much. Today they go to Chile, whose campaign has got off to an even slower start.
