Walsh: 'I want all four titles again, that's why I'm at Barça'
Keira Walsh is returning to Manchester City for the first time since she left three years ago, and she is going back as a two-time European champion. Born in Rochdale, she is looking forward to having friends and family there to see her at the Joie Stadium that she graced so many times in the sky blue jersey. But this time she'll be wearing blaugrana, and she told Barça One all about it.
"It's the first time I've been been back to Manchester since I left" she says. "I think my gran is coming to the game and she hasn't been able to see me play for three years, so she's very excited ... I know I have a professional job to do and it won't be an easy game, but it will be nice to have all my friends and family in the stands."
As for the season, she has no doubt about her plans. "I want to win the four titles" she says. "That's why I play for Barça."
On her new coach, Pere Romeu, she says, "I think he's an incredible coach, but he's also an incredible person. He understands what being a footballer is all about. A lot of people know what happens on the field but he also understands what's happening off of it. He tries to know how you are and that's massive. On the pitch, his tactical knowledge is incredible, for sure one of the best I've had."
In the final part of the interview, Walsh opens up by answering more personal questions about life in Barcelona and what she gets up to in her time off.
