FC Barcelona players called up for international duty

Several blaugranes will be away with their respective national teams for Nations League games and World Cup qualifiers during the October window

After the international break in September, the hiatus for October is almost upon us. After week 9 in La Liga is completed this coming weekend, from 10 to 15 October there are fixtures in Europe for the UEFA Nations League and in South America World Cup qualification matches, as well as European Championship qualifiers for the U21 squads. 

Four for Spain 

The Spain squad for their upcoming matches was announced on Friday, with Pedri, Ferran Torres, Lamine Yamal and Pau Cubarsí all included. Luis de la Fuente's team will take on Denmark (Saturday 12 October, 8.45pm CEST) and Serbia (Tuesday 15 October, 8.45pm CEST) in the Nations League. 

Kounde and France 

Barça defender Jules Kounde is a key member of Didier Deschamps' France squad and the blaugrana will be in action against Israel (Thursday 10 October, 8.45pm CEST) and Belgium (Monday 14 October, 8.45pm CEST) for les bleus in the Nations League.

Santi Dènia calls up Pablo Torre and Casadó

There are places in the Spanish U21 squad for Pablo Torre and Marc Casadó. Santi Dènia's team take on Kazakhstan (Thursday 10 October, 8.30pm CEST) and Malta (Tuesday 15 October, 6.00pm CEST) in qualifiers for the U21 European Championships. 

Raphinha back with Brazil 

After not being involved in the September round of matches, Raphinha returns to the Brazil squad for their World Cup qualifiers in South America. The first comes against Chile (Friday 11 October, 2.00am CST) and the second against Peru (Wednesday 16 October, 2.45am CEST).
