Manchester City, St Pölten and Hammarby the opponents in the Women's Champions League

The opponents for Barça Women in the group stage of the 2024/25 Champions League have been announced. Pere Romeu's side are set to face Manchester City from England, St Pölten from Austria and Hammarby from Sweden. Manchester City finished second in the Women's Premier League last season, but were joint top on points with Chelsea, while St Pölten and Hammarby won their respective leagues.

The team have faced Manchester City twice before in the quarterfinals of the 2020/21 season. Barça won the first leg 3-0 - with the match played in Monza due to COVID-19 restrictions - before losing the return leg 2-1.

The competition has the same group stage format, before quarterfinals, semifinals and final. It is set to start on 8/9 October, before ending on 25/26 May at the Jose Alvalade stadium in Lisbon.

The fixture schedule will be announced on Saturday.
