Lamine Yamal leads Golden Boy rankings

The blaugrana forward tops the recently updated list ahead of PSG's João Neves and Manchester United's Alejandro Garnacho

The excellent start to the season by FC Barcelona forward Lamine Yamal has not gone unnoticed. A goal and four assists in his four appearances so far this season for Barça have left the 17 year old top of the rankings for the Golden Boy award for the best player in Europe aged 21 or under.

Stats speak for themselves

The award is organised by the Italian sports newspaper Tuttosport, with help of Football Benchmark, the data and analysis experts who compile the rankings for the prize. The current list was updated on 2 September and finds Lamine Yamal in top spot.
