Deportivo 0-3 Barça: Fine start

The goals took longer to come than expected in Pere Romeu's competitive debut and the first league game of the season away to Deportivo. The Galicians managed to keep a clean sheet in the first half, but it was a little dirtier after Pajor twice and Esmee once had found the target.

Home manager Irene Ferreras had clearly set out to play a spoiling game and it worked for almost an hour. Barça had plenty of chances but couldn't convert any of them, with Depor making little effort to create any danger of their own.

New Polish signing Ewa Pajor finally scored after 58 minutes, pouncing on the rebound of Graham's original attempt. Esmee Brugts doubled up shortly by converting an exquisite assist from Alexia, and in the closing minutes Pajor got her second of the night after a superb piece of work from Graham.
