Trinity FC 0-6 Barça: Big win in Dallas

Claudia Pina hat-trick and goals from Kika, Patri and Szymczak end the US Tour in victorious fashion

Barça are leaving the United States on a high after putting six goals past Trinity FC at the Cotton Bowl in Dallas. The brand new American team was powerless against the might of the Catalan side that is now heading back home to continue preparations for the opening league fixture on September 8.

Floodgates open early

In practically the first move of the game, Barça immediately showed their superiority. Alexia spun in the cross and Pina converted. Ten minutes later, Aitana was on the end of a set piece that Emilka Szymczak sent goalward to double the lead after just 12 minutes of play. Moments later a powerful drive from Patri also beat home stopper Madison White and that was the game over before it had barely begun.

There was time for two more goals before the break. Kika pounced ona loose ball and did all the work to make it four, and just before half-time, Pina was at the far post to meet a Vicky cross at make it five.

Pina hat-trick

Pina was very much the heroine of the day because ten minutes after the restart she scored the sixth and final goal of the game, finishing off a move initiated by a splendid through ball from Alexia that Rolfö then laid up for the striker. From there on, Barça took their feet of the gas and although further goals might have been expected, the home side managed to avoid any more damage.
