Agreement reached between El FC Barcelona and Real Club Deportivo de La Coruña for the loan of the player Rubén López for one season up to June 30 2025. The agreement includes an option to buy for the blaugrana club at the end of the season. The player will join up with Barça Atlètic in the coming days.

The official contract signing is still pending.

Reinforcement for midfield

Born in Sillera on August 26 2004, 20 year old Rubén López is a left-footed midfielder who can play either defensive midfield or in a more advanced midfield role. He came through the youth system at Deportivo and played a key role in the side's promotion to the Second Division.

He played 19 games in the Primera Federación (17 in the regular league season and two in the championship play-offs), in which he scored a goal. He also played a game in the Copa del Rey. He had previously played 11 games with the development side in the Segunda Federación (scoring one goal).
