Gold medal for Jordan Díaz at the Olympics
The blaugrana jumps 17.86 metres to become Olympic champion
Great news for blaugrana athletics as triple jumper Jordan Díaz now has the gold medal round his neck after his superb 17.86m winning jump in Paris.
Diaz had already signposted his form in Europe, jumping 18.18m to win in Rome, before going on to shine at the Paris Olympic Games. The blaugrana athlete won by just 2cm from Pedro Pichardo from Portugal in second.
Aged only 23 years old, Jordan Díaz has already achieved great things in major competitions. The Olympic gold medal winner adds to the gold won in Rome and the silver won at the 2019 Pan American Games.
