The Barça Academy Columbus will not continue to operate next season. The facility opened in 2018 and since then it has had its own model, based on the Barça methodology that is used from the youth team right up to the first team, a creative and attacking style and and the promotion of values such as respect, modesty, effort, ambition and team work with proven results.
With the closure of the academy in Columbus, Barça still have six sites in the US, the country, alongside Japan, that has the most in the world. Those remaining are Barça Academy Pro projects in New York and Miami the Barça Resident Academy Arizona as well as sites in Austin, Charlotte in North Carolina and Chicago.
