ANNAPOLIS, Maryland — As the 2024 Summer Tour draws to a close, FC Barcelona took a commemorative photo before heading home. On Monday afternoon, before their second training session of the day, the players and staff gathered for a joint photo in Memorial Hall at the U.S. Naval Academy.
In the background, the phrase "Don't give up the ship" can be seen, a famous motto attributed to naval captain James Lawrence in 1812, deeply associated with the U.S. naval forces.
FC Barcelona has used the U.S. Naval Academy as its training camp base since last Wednesday, following the team’s first match in Orlando. Barça only left the Academy to travel to New York for the match against Real Madrid.
