Barça complete first double training session in Orlando
ORLANDO, Florida — Arrive and get down to business. That's what FC Barcelona did in Orlando on Monday morning, some 12 hours after touching down in the city of theme parks on Sunday night. The team, led by Hansi Flick, held their first practice session of the 2024 USA Tour at the University of Central Florida.
It was just the first of two scheduled workouts scheduled for Monday, and came one day before Barça’s preseason opener against Manchester City, set for Tuesday at 7:00 PM ET at Camping World Stadium in Orlando.
Two New Faces
Monday’s session was notable for the arrivals of Raphinha and İlkay Gündoğan, who joined the pre-season training camp directly in Orlando, as previously reported before the team left Barcelona. Marc ter Stegen, who joined the team on Sunday, also participated.
The same 31 players participated in both workouts. After the session, the artist Blessd had the opportunity to hang out with some of the players in a special meet-and-greet event, part of a sponsorship event.
