Juan Núnez is blaugrana

20-year-old Spanish guard signs for three seasons through to 30 June 2027

Juan Núñez has joined Barça from German club Ratiopharm Ulm. The 20-year-old guard (1.94 metres) is signing a three-year contract that takes him through to 30 June 2027, and he had his medical and fitness tests on Friday morning.

Born in Madrid in 2004, he is a regular in the Spanish national team that recently qualified for the Paris Olympics. He may be young, but he has excellent vision and is a very valuable addition to the side along with the two other signings that have already been announced, namely Kevin Punter and Justin Anderson.

Núñez has learned at Ratiopharm Ulm, and the German side has improved with him, winning the Bundesliga for the very first time by defeating Baskets Bonn in the final.

Núñez also tried his fortune in the NBA Draft, where he was a number 36 pick for the Indiana Pacers, although his rights were eventually transferred to the San Antonio Spurs.
